Aran Islands Revisited
The heat wave was coming and we all knew about it! Can’t miss that since it doesn’t happen too often in Ireland. So the only problem was where to go, which was quickly cleared by guys from Dublin: direction Aran Islands. That’s when the bell rang in my head, wait a minute we could go climbing and take some photos, something that has been on my mind for a while now. So we packed almost all the photographic gear and hit the road on Saturday morning to make it for the early ferry. Jeez, I only realized how heavy the gear is once I started cycling with it around the island, add tripod to it and there you are, a cycling camel. To make things worse I realized when doing my set up for an evening session on the big roof that I had no hotshoe with me for connecting SB900 to Enlichrome. Now try to combat sunset with one Vivitar flash, good luck! With luck or without it, we actually got some nice shots that evening. One of them you can see below. Great weekend that was!
